About the Job

Cocoa Hyundai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As a key member of our body shop, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are repaired to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble vehicles to assist estimators in preparing repair plans
  • Identify and repair all necessary damage to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
  • Plan and execute work procedures, following work orders for all operations
  • Remove and store vehicle parts to prevent damage
  • Mend damaged body and fenders, ensuring all gaps and fits meet industry standards
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welders and sanders
  • Fill depressions with body filler and sand repaired surfaces
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Assist service advisors in assessing damage to vehicles prior to repair
  • Comply with all safety rules, guidelines, and standards
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as an Automotive Body Technician
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and read instructions
  • Multi-tasking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Personable and friendly demeanor with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
