Banquet Captain

At Atrium Hospitality, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by planning and implementing the serving details for events.

• Direct the setup of tables and ensure that all necessary items are in place.
• Confirm that all table complements are properly cleaned and filled.
• Plan and orchestrate the serving order to ensure a timely and quiet service.
• Ensure that servers are ready to serve the meal when it is prepared.
• Set up, serve, and break down coffee breaks, receptions, and other special functions as assigned.
• Maintain communication with the guest contact person to ensure their needs are met.
• Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual equipment.
• Be familiar with and maintain knowledge of maintenance and usage of all Audio-Visual equipment.
• Able to perform the job of Banquet Associate and Banquet Bartender.
• Able to understand departmental forecasting to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Assist the Banquet Manager or All Purpose Manager with scheduling, training staff, and inventory.
• Ensure service standards are being followed and take corrective action when they are not.
• Guide, direct, and motivate banquet staff.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.

• Previous customer service experience.
• Six months of banquet food service experience.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial 90 days.
• Alcohol certification or complete training during initial 90 days.
