Job Title: Director of Enterprise Project Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Enterprise Project Management to join our team at the University of Washington. As a key member of our Project Management Office, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of project management strategies and best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project management standards, best practices, and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop project plans that meet those needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, project sponsors, and project teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on enterprise-wide projects.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate project plans and progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory and management experience with teams of 5+.
  • Experience working in Higher Education or state institutions.
  • Professional experience building and sustaining enterprise-wide PMOs.
