Intraoperative Monitoring Expert

Key Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, interact with other Neurophysiology team members to maintain department quality expectations and customer service standards at Huntington Hospital.

Monitor a wide variety of surgical procedures, including neurosurgery, otolaryngology, vascular, and orthopedic cases, where neural structures are at risk. In addition to monitoring services, this position will be encouraged to participate in ongoing and original research aimed at improving the field of IOM and developing training modules for self and team members.

This position may require flexibility in scheduling.

Education and Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or Allied Health Care/Nursing credentials are preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience and Training:

Minimum 1-2 years, 3-5 years preferred prior clinical experience in a related neurodiagnostic field.

Licenses and Certifications:

Required:

Current Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)

Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

Preferred:

Registration for Evoked Potential Technologists (R. EP T.)

Skills and Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
