Job Summary

As a Healthcare Referral Coordinator with Riverside Health System, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care by performing intake, insurance verification, and preauthorization for service lines within the Home Care Division. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to work independently will enable you to provide top-notch customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform clinical review of data collected, accurately determine appropriateness and acceptance of referrals based on established criteria, coordinate services, and disseminate information.

* Utilize clinical knowledge to collect complete and appropriate data for referrals, and field phone calls utilizing the Care Difference principles.

* Maintain data integrity, entering and retrieving data from various computer systems and recording on specified forms.

* Build a comprehensive knowledge base, remaining knowledgeable and current on Medicare/insurance information and regulations, RHCD products and services, and community resources.

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED

* 2 years of experience in Healthcare

* 1 year of experience in Homecare (preferred)
