{"Job Title": "Early Childhood Teacher", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Metropolitan Ministries. As a key member of our Promiseland program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to our young students.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in the classroom, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for our children.
* Write weekly lesson plans and maintain detailed records on children, including anecdotal records of progress and health records.
* Administer and score student assessments, utilizing knowledge of community resources to provide referrals to address specific children's needs.
* Maintain the safety, security, and cleanliness of all Promiseland classroom equipment.
* Collaborate with the team to achieve organizational goals and targets, as stated on the Balanced Scorecard in the annual plan.

Requirements:

* A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and CDA; 40 hours of training in early childhood education and 5 hours of training in literacy required.
* A minimum of 1 year experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher. MMCI preferred.
* Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work and communicate with low socio-economic and diverse parents and clients in a professional and diplomatic manner.
* Ability to verbally communicate and resolve conflicts between pre-school age children.
* Ability to plan, organize, and conduct early childhood education programs.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to use a computer and related software.
* Ability to administer CPR and First Aid to children and implement safety procedures.
* Ability to work effectively with others within a multi-disciplinary team framework, including staff and volunteers.
* Ability to supervise and direct volunteers.
