Job Overview

Position Summary: Aegis Worldwide is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and flexible individual to join our team as a Shipping Quality Assurance Specialist. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the precision and quality of outgoing shipments, serving as a crucial final checkpoint before products reach our clients. The Specialist will operate in a fast-paced environment where meticulousness, organizational capabilities, and multitasking are key attributes.

Compensation: Starting at $22.44, with potential increases in the near future. Comprehensive benefits package included.

Work Schedule: Day shift from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month and maximum weekly hours.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Order Confirmation: Utilize digital systems to process and confirm orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities and product details.
  • Pallet Examination: Conduct physical inspections of palletized shipments to ensure that the correct items and quantities are prepared for dispatch, upholding high accuracy standards.
  • Effective Communication: Work closely with Order Pickers to resolve any discrepancies or issues found during the verification process, ensuring prompt solutions prior to shipping.
  • Labeling and Record Keeping: Accurately apply shipping labels to orders and maintain thorough documentation of shipment contents and order statuses.
  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move pallets of finished products to the shipping area or load them onto transport vehicles. Previous forklift experience is preferred; training and certification will be provided on-site.
  • Support in Shipping/Receiving: Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks as necessary, maintaining a versatile approach to support various warehouse functions.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout all tasks to uphold quality standards and minimize shipping errors.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to a dynamic environment where tasks may range from administrative duties to physical warehouse operations, demonstrating a willingness to contribute across different roles.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using digital systems for order processing and basic data entry. Training will be provided on Aegis Worldwide's specific systems.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage documentation and paperwork accurately.
  • Forklift Experience: Preferred experience in forklift operation; willingness to receive training and certification on-site.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a small team environment, showcasing flexibility and a proactive attitude towards tasks.
  • Physical Endurance: Capable of lifting and moving heavy pallets and packages as part of daily responsibilities.

Additional Information: This position is part of a union in a warehouse environment primarily focused on shipping and receiving operations.
