About the Role

Guthrie Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate correct scanning protocols with minimal supervision, checking MRI consults, patient history, and information.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Review patient screening forms, investigate contraindications, and initiate proper request forms for x-rays.
  • Monitor patient conditions during scans, alerting radiologists to abnormalities and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Operate laser imagers, select picture formats, and prepare films for referral physicians.
Requirements
  • High school diploma with additional 2-year Radiology Technology Training from a JRCERT-approved program.
  • ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(R)(MR) certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of MRI scanning experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to lift, push, reach, bend, stoop, and walk to care for patients.
