About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using technical knowledge and experience
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to complete tasks and achieve team goals
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
  • Technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades (a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
