Veterinary Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals.

About the Role:

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for our patients.
  • Prepare surgical suites and patients for procedures.
  • Fill prescriptions and perform laboratory work as needed.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and provide compassionate care to boarded and hospitalized pets.
  • Perform general patient husbandry and hygiene tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, but not required.
