ColdFlo Mechanical is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer/Draftsman to join our team as a Project Coordinator. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project drawings and design support documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Project Drawings: Create and update project drawings, including Permit coordination and submittal, Shop Fabrication, and P&ID drawings sets, using AutoCAD.
- Assist with Design Support: Collaborate with Clients, Engineers, Estimators, and Layout Detail teams to develop and maintain project drawings and design support documentation.
- Coordinate with Multiple Departments: Work with multiple departments and clients to provide accurate As-Built Drawings post construction.
- Develop and Maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams: Create and update Refrigeration System Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Support Project Managers: Assist Project Managers with equipment submittal document organization and tracking.
- AutoCAD Proficiency: Complete command of AutoCAD 2D, 3D, and MEP.
- Construction Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings from all disciplines.
- Microsoft Office Applications: Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self-Motivation and Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and stay on track, with a self-motivated approach to meeting deadlines.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Engineering Computer Aided Drafting Certification: Required.
- MEP Construction Drafting and Design Experience: 2+ years' experience in MEP Construction Drafting and Design.
- Engineering Technologies Degree: AS or BS in Engineering Technologies a plus.
- Industrial Refrigeration Experience: Experience in Industrial Refrigeration, knowledge of Ammonia piping and IIAR standards a huge plus.
