As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to ensure proper and efficient installation. You will plan and implement the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications, local building codes, and safety guidelines.

You will also be responsible for preparing work areas, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are present, and connecting wiring and equipment per code and job specification. Additionally, you will inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with codes and specifications, identifying hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments/repairs to ensure a safe work environment.

Furthermore, you will troubleshoot and diagnose the cause of electrical problems and correct equipment and/or repair systems as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in electrical engineering or a related field, familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals, and familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills are also essential.

You must also be able to pass a full background check.
