We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children of all ages, including vital sign monitoring, specimen collection, and basic wound care.
- Unit Support Activities: Maintain accurate inventory levels, perform quality control checks on equipment, and assist with routine clerical tasks.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred qualifications include completion of a patient care technician program or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: BLS/CPR for Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required; Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification to be obtained within the first 3 months of hire.
