Job Title: Government Procurement Leader
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Government Procurement Leader to join our team at the Department of Homeland Security. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the procurement process for major systems contracts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracting principles, laws, regulations, and procedures, as well as excellent leadership and technical skills. You will be expected to provide expert technical leadership, staff coordination, and consultation to ensure the successful implementation of all aspects of major systems contracts.

Key Responsibilities- Developing and implementing acquisition strategies through contract execution, contract administration, and contract closeout.
- Maintaining expertise in contracting principles, laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Providing technical and administrative supervision to procurement staff.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or accounting.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in contracting or related positions, including 1 year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or above.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
