Salary: $35.00 per hour
Position Summary: AnchorCM is seeking skilled Ironworkers to enhance our workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate of Qualification in their specific trade and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale industrial settings. Candidates with backgrounds in sawmill operations or wood processing facilities are particularly encouraged to apply. Other trades with substantial welding and fabrication expertise are also welcome.
Work Schedule:
- Rotation work
- Two weeks on, two weeks off
- Opportunities for interstate travel
- Mandatory overtime
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ advanced metal forming and welding techniques to achieve quality outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW - 6G welding processes.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
- Execute precise and meticulous work.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Exemplify company policies, rules, and performance standards.
- Act as a representative of the brand and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Establish reference points and patterns on heavy metal according to specifications.
- Safely rig, hoist, and maneuver large and intricate loads.
- Assemble and fit metal components to create complete units or subunits.
- Install fabricated parts into the final product.
- Work safely in elevated positions, confined spaces, and under challenging conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Complete all required safety and quality training specific to the site.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyperson in your trade, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Ability to read blueprints, organize workflow, set up equipment, and arrange materials to optimize productivity.
- Proven track record of working safely in high-risk environments.
- Strong work ethic and effective time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capacity to positively contribute to a skilled trades team.
- Understanding of due diligence and the ability to produce detailed and accurate reports.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Additional training considered advantageous includes:
- Occupational First Aid
- Certification in Structural Steel and/or Aluminum welding
- Certification in Pipe and Pressure Welding
- OSHA training
- Fall Protection Training
- Equipment Operation (Forklift, Telehandler, etc.)
