Position Overview

The Lending Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the overall credit operations by assisting lending personnel in ensuring accurate loan servicing and addressing inquiries from both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Branch Support: Provide comprehensive lending assistance across all branches.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarize with and adhere to all relevant lending regulations and banking standards.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of credit files and loan documentation to ensure compliance.
    • Maintain detailed checklists for compliance tracking.
  3. Escrow Management: Oversee and manage escrow accounts effectively.
    • Prepare initial escrow disclosures for clients.
    • Update and manage escrow disbursement amounts.
    • Disburse funds to payees as required.
    • Conduct regular escrow analyses.
  4. Collections Oversight: Manage the collection process efficiently.
    • Process requests for charge-offs and non-accruals.
    • Handle bankruptcy cases and foreclosures.
    • Manage 1099-C reporting and legal fees.
    • Respond to subpoenas as necessary.
    • Prepare all necessary documentation for loan closings, including modifications.
  5. Reporting Duties: Generate and submit various reports.
    • Report and remit Credit Life and Accident/Health Insurance.
    • Process and maintain loan participations.
    • Prepare reports for the Small Business Administration and other relevant institutions.
    • Engage with National Credit Reporting Repositories.
  6. Loan Servicing: Board mortgage loans into servicing systems and maintain accurate loan records.
  7. Insurance Program Management: Oversee the force-placed insurance program.
    • Review monthly flood positives and manage flood loans accordingly.
Information Resource

Act as the primary information source for branch lending staff and provide backup support for Loan Processors as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including seeking opportunities for product sales and cross-selling.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; two years of experience in lending, leasing, or accounting preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Banking is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of banking lending and leasing functions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with personnel and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record in customer relationship management.
  • Integrity in all dealings, adhering to policies and ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, real estate transactions, and lending procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and deadlines.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Capability to sit at a desk and computer for extended periods.
  • Mobility to interact with personnel across various locations.
