Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide essential health services in schools near St. Marys, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering first aid, medications, and treatments to students with various health needs and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Health Services: Administer first aid, medications, and treatments to students with various health needs and conditions.
  • Develop Health Plans: Create and manage individualized health care plans for students with chronic illnesses or special medical needs.
  • Monitor Student Health: Conduct routine health screenings, monitor student health trends, and manage emergency health situations as they arise.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to address health-related concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
  • Educate and Advocate: Provide health education to students and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and wellness. Advocate for student health needs and work with families to support their children's health.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate and confidential records of student health information, medical interventions, and treatment outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all health services comply with school policies, state regulations, and best practices in nursing care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric care is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Approach: A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to student health and wellness is crucial.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
