SUMMARY OF ROLE:
We are seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Surgical Trauma Stepdown Unit at a premier Level II Trauma Center. This role is situated within a dynamic healthcare environment focused on delivering exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions.
The Neuro Stepdown Unit specializes in managing patients recovering from neurological injuries and disorders, including but not limited to strokes, seizures, and post-operative care following craniotomies and spinal surgeries.
While the primary schedule for this role is nights, flexibility for day shifts may be available based on the candidate's qualifications and preferences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a 17-bed Stepdown Unit, utilizing advanced clinical skills for patient assessment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of nursing professionals to ensure compassionate and effective patient care.
- Implement evidence-based practices to maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Engage in multidisciplinary rounds to enhance patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records documenting patient conditions and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and recovery processes, providing emotional support as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments diligently.
- Utilize advanced skills in a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Deliver specialized care for patients with neurological disorders, including post-operative cases and traumatic brain injuries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current RN license in Idaho or multistate required.
- Multistate license holders must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within the specified timeframe.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- PALS certification is required within twelve months of hire.
