Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist

Position Summary:
The MRI Imaging Technician is responsible for conducting magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, utilizing a magnetic field and radio waves to capture detailed images of the internal structures of patients' bodies.
These imaging procedures are crucial for diagnosing conditions affecting soft tissues, including tumors and neurological disorders.
This position requires precise image acquisition and involves collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive diagnostic insights for patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute complex procedures associated with the operation of high-field strength MRI machines to produce specialized radiographic images of designated body areas.
- Review and evaluate patient medical histories to establish suitable imaging parameters for optimal results.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated MRI equipment, following safety guidelines and performing routine maintenance checks to guarantee accurate and dependable imaging outcomes.
- Work in conjunction with medical staff during MRI examinations, providing immediate imaging assistance to ensure correct positioning and superior image quality.
- Document all MRI scans and related data in the Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), confirming charges and resolving discrepancies to facilitate a seamless workflow.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification: Required: ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT (MR), ARMRIT (MR) ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) acceptable; BLS (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
