About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for assisting the Physical Security Manager with the maintenance and operation of the Access Control and Physical Security Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair door access, surveillance, and badge hardware systems.
- Provide consultation, recommendation, and quotes for new hardware and software implementation.
- Review and make recommendations on policies and procedures related to physical security.
- Assist the JagCard office in granting and revoking customer access.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or (60) semester hours from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of experience with applications related to physical security measures.
- Knowledge of tools and techniques appropriate to identify, analyze, and solve technical problems.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep complex records.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make responsible decisions.
