Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including inbound receiving, accurate warehousing, material delivery, and outbound shipments.
  • Assign tasks to hourly operators and ensure all requirements are covered throughout the shift.
  • Perform daily audits of hourly operators' tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Update payroll daily and follow escalation protocols to management when issues arise.
  • Verify standardized work and safety rules are being followed and address any discrepancies.
  • Ensure outbound shipments meet customer expectations and are delivered on time.
  • Lead team meetings and safety talks to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Conduct accurate inventory counts and make corrections in SAP as needed.
  • Develop and maintain detailed records, generate reports, and create presentations to inform management of logistics performance.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth and improve logistics efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, or related field.
  • 2 years supervisory experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a union environment.
  • Ability to manage up to 50 hourly employees and multiple processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to work in a high-stress environment.
