Position Overview: The Supply Chain Management Buyer Specialist is essential in shaping, executing, and managing our extensive Global Supply Chain Management (SCM) Training & Compliance initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and curate educational content and instructional resources to enhance the capabilities, knowledge, and adherence of the Global SCM team.
  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), internal partners, and external entities to craft tailored learning strategies that align with Company Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines (PPSGs), as well as industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in creating and implementing assessments to identify skill and knowledge deficiencies, while establishing systems to monitor and evaluate the training program's effectiveness, incorporating modern training methodologies and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Daily Duties:

  • Support the operational aspects of the program, including the design, development, execution, organization, and assessment of SCM educational methodologies and strategies that resonate with our core competencies and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with SCM leadership, SMEs, Global Technical Training, and Talent Development teams to define learning goals and conduct thorough needs assessments, including target audience, learning environment, and content analysis.
  • Interpret and compile information from SMEs to aid in the further development of learning requirements.
  • Contribute to the formulation of an instructional strategy to achieve specified learning objectives, ensuring high levels of learner engagement.
  • Co-create instructional materials with designated instructors, overseeing the publication process for all finalized curricula, including supplementary elements such as facilitator and participant guides, and supporting media.
  • Prepare and present recommendations regarding curricula, instructional techniques, and materials for training sessions.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations, internal PPSGs, and reporting obligations to ensure timely updates to content.
  • Compile and submit necessary reports to management promptly and accurately.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a collaborative atmosphere focused on continuous enhancement.
  • Address inquiries related to SCM Training and other requests, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supply chain-related role or in instructional design and/or learning project management within the oil & gas sector.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.
