Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, utilizing your expertise and independent judgment to ensure accurate and efficient results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams, verifying patient identification, physician orders, and exam charges in EPIC.
  • Operate mammography imaging equipment with proficiency, obtaining high-quality images using appropriate techniques for patient positioning.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with professional development requirements, pursuing continuing education and certifications as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with administrative, medical staff, and peers, utilizing hospital computer systems for accurate and efficient information exchange.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • 1-3 years of experience beyond staff radiographer level preferred.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and additional Mammography (ARRT)(M) certification required within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
