Job Title: Registered Nurse 2

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Registered Nurse 2 to join our team at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton, WA.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse 2 will provide healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, including assessing, evaluating, and treating patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver healthcare services that promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions.
  • Screen, assess, and evaluate incarcerated individuals and their conditions.
  • Respond to all other requests for healthcare attention in a complete, timely, clinically appropriate, and therapeutic manner.
  • Delegate and supervise work, monitor, manage, coordinate, and deliver healthcare.
  • Plan transition, make referrals, and arrange follow-up when patients transfer or return to the community.
  • Counsel, consult, teach, advise, and provide health information that improves quality of health services and/or enhances safety and security.
Requirements:
  • Active and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Washington State or an unencumbered Multistate License from a participating Compact Licensure State.
  • One year experience working as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred Qualification: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
