Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Support Specialist to join our rehabilitation unit team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clerical and data management services, as well as supporting direct patient care needs under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist RNs with implementing age-appropriate care plans through delegated tasks based on patient condition and individual skills.
  • Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed.
  • Support safe environments for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Provide clerical support, perform medical records duties, and coordinate unit needs.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with medical terminology or completion of General Tech Orientation within 30 days of hire.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date.
  • Must possess one of the following: CNA Certificate, 2 years' experience providing patient care, EMT Certification, currently enrolled in LVN/ADN/BSN Nursing with Fundamentals completion, or Medical Assistant Certification.
