Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher Substitute to join our team at Spur Staffing. As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of education for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement lesson plans and deliver engaging instruction to students
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment
  • Assign classwork and homework, and provide feedback to students
  • Create daily reports for the classroom teacher
  • Take attendance and maintain accurate records
  • Set up basic technology equipment to support classroom instruction
  • Work on an on-call basis to cover absences and provide support to students

Requirements:

  • Must be 20 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Pass background check and complete required certifications
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficiency in maintaining classroom management and emotional control
