Senior Registered Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team in Everett, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:The Senior Registered Nurse will work under the direction of the Administrative Manager and Administrative Supervisor to perform technical and clerical functions required for core front-end laboratory operations, clinical and administrative support to a director, faculty, and/or chief of service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical support to a director, faculty, and/or chief of service, including registration and insurance verification of private consult cases.
- Accession specimens according to approved protocols and document materials received.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and BWH Pathology, following up on the timely receipt of slides and blocks.
- Organize and manage the Dermatopathology Service, including opening, organizing, and accessing all consult cases received for specified Pathologists/Service.
- Transcribe documents, including manuscripts, reports, grants, correspondence, manuals, abstracts, chapters, course materials, proposals, and other documents.
- Coordinate Outlook calendar, schedules appointments, meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
- Process and update academic records, CVs, and biographical sketches.
- Maintain division-specific databases and create reports as needed.
- Order, pick up, and facilitate the handling of materials used for conferences, research projects, and clinical trials.
- Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge and use of intermediate medical terminology.
- Experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting preferred.
- PowerPath, EPIC knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office application required.
- Ability to type 60 WPM and complete data entry with a high level of accuracy.
