">About the Role
">This leadership role is responsible for managing and controlling the profitable flow of materials into and through the plant.
">The successful candidate will oversee a talented group of team members responsible for inventory control, providing training, developing, and supervising them in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas of continuous improvement opportunities in accordance with Wabtec best practices.">
- CALCULATING INVENTORY METRICS BY SET DEADLINES.">
- Prepared and presented inventory reports and action plans for management review.">
- MONITORING AND OFFERING GUIDANCE ON INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS TO ENSURE PROPER ADHERENCE TO ISO PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES.">
- Conducting and being responsible for physical inventory and cycle counting, including corrective action, root cause analysis, and implementation of improvements to minimize variances.">
- Managing excess inventory controls in accordance with Wabtec policy.">
- Monitoring all general scrap transactions, creating trends and action plans for improvement.">

Requirements
">This role requires comprehensive knowledge of systems-driven material/inventory control using MRP systems, as well as 5 years of experience in the inventory management field, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment.
">Additional requirements include:
">- ">
- A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or similar inventory-related discipline, or equivalent working experience in inventory management.">
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics (receiving).">
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.">
- Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) (preferred).">
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern Lean Manufacturing and production concepts and inventory practices with complex mixed model factories (preferred).">
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.">
- Strong analytical, statistical, and reasoning ability for problem-solving strategic planning, creativity/innovation, and judgment for complex decisions.">
- A highly motivated, self-starter capable of working and delivering results on own initiative.">
