Job Summary

The Cookware Company is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records, as well as providing financial guidance to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ledger account reconciliations.
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting
    • Aid in preparation of quarterly forecasts and budgets.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance
    • Develop, monitor, and implement internal controls to reduce the risk of accounting errors, fraud, and irregularities.
    • Ensure compliance with local law, tax provisions, and relevant industry and financial regulations.
  • Intercompany Transactions and Processes
    • Manage and oversee all intercompany transactions and processes, including preparing, posting, validating, and reconciling all intercompany transactions.
    • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to intercompany accounts.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Coordinate with other departments and subsidiaries to ensure alignment and compliance with group policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Knowledge of Belgium GAAP and/or IFRS helpful.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of relevant experience within a consumer goods company.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
    • Thorough understanding of project management.
    • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Microsoft D365 F&O knowledge and experience helpful.
