Job Summary

MidAmerica Nazarene University is seeking a qualified Clinical Instructor to join our Pre-Licensure Nursing Education team. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and supervising nursing students in clinical facilities, the nursing skills laboratory, and/or the Virtual Patient Center (VPC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational materials and learning activities for nursing students
  • Supervise and evaluate student clinical assignments
  • Maintain health relationships with facility educators and staff
  • Grade student clinical assignments and provide evaluative student data to course faculty
  • Participate in Clinical Instructor orientation and facility orientation
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or enrollment in an MSN program
  • Active, unencumbered KS RN license and ability to obtain a MO RN license
  • Minimum of one year of clinical RN practice experience
  • Completion of Collegiate Nursing Education requirements annually
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication and technology skills
  • Ability to meet challenges of adult learners with diverse backgrounds
  • Self-directed and innovative approach to education
