Information Security Intern

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Information Security Intern to join our Information Security team at Array Technologies, Inc. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands-on experience in protecting critical infrastructure within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Security:
    • Assist in monitoring and analyzing email security threats, including phishing and spam.
    • Help in remediating positively identified phishing emails.
    • Contribute to the development of user training materials on email security best practices.
  • Website Access Control:
    • Support the implementation of access control mechanisms for company websites and web applications.
    • Assist in auditing and reviewing current website access policies and recommend improvements.
    • Collaborate with Users to ensure compliance and functionality of web security tools.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM):
    • Assist in the management of user accounts, roles, and permissions across various systems.
    • Support the integration of IAM solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
    • Participate in IAM audits and report findings to the Information Security Manager.
  • General Information Security Support:
    • Assist in monitoring and responding to security incidents.
    • Contribute to the development of security process playbooks / runbooks.
    • Contribute to risk assessments and vulnerability management efforts.
    • Participate in the development and updating of security policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with various teams to promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure coding practices.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with email security, access control, and IAM concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies.

  • Previous internship or project experience in information security.
