Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Blancher Operator to join our team at Mt. Olive Pickle Co., Inc. This is a day shift position responsible for setting up and operating blanchers to deliver product to packing lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate blanchers to meet product specifications
  • Monitor temperature and salinity of products and make adjustments as needed
  • Call in shut downs to Line Lead Person or Supervisor
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and neatly
  • Inspect machine pack and hand pack lines and wash lines before packing operation
  • Follow safety rules and company policies
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
  • Legible handwriting
Work Environment

This position involves some outside work, but primarily inside subject to some seasonal temperature variations and intermittent wetting from some job tasks. Fumes from hot pepper, earplugs required due to machinery noise, some contact with grease, head cover and beard cover required, and gloves required at times.
