Medical Director Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Community of HOPE. As a Medical Director, you will provide leadership for providers and oversee the quality of care for patients at our Family Health & Birth Center in Washington, D.C.
About the RoleThe Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, managing clinical operations, and supervising a team of healthcare professionals. You will also provide direct clinical care to patients, meeting clinical standards within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Serves as a member of the on-site management team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal delivery of care
- Leads quality management activities, including staff Quality Management committee participation, PDSA cycles, and monthly quality meetings
- Communicates with providers and health leadership teams on patient care issues
- Supports health leadership in implementing policies, protocols, and guidelines
- Develops practice guidelines and clinical policies as needed
- Manages provider staff scheduling and coordinates after-hours coverage
- Provides direct medical care to patients, following approved guidelines
- Participates in quality management activities, peer review, and maintains productivity numbers
- Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with specialization in family medicine or internal medicine required
- Current DC license to practice and CDS license required
- Minimum two years' experience practicing in an inner-city setting preferred
- Experience with electronic health records preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish or Amharic preferred
- Competitive salary: $112,000 - $132,000 annually
- 8-hour workdays with paid lunch
- 11.5 paid company holidays, 1 personal floating holiday, 15 days of paid vacation, and 12 days of paid sick leave
- National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and DC Health Professional Loan Repayment Program (DCHPLRP) participants
