Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of their own homes. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will work collaboratively with DispatchHealth's Medical Technicians to deliver comprehensive health assessments, diagnose and treat complex illnesses, and facilitate timely follow-up care.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to take advantage of our innovative model, which allows you to provide definitive care in the home, including point-of-care laboratory studies, minor procedures, splinting, wound care, suturing, IV fluid and medication administration. You will have the autonomy to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic team, to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Diagnose and treat complex illnesses, utilizing evidence-based standards of practice and critical thinking skills
  • Collaborate with DispatchHealth's Medical Technicians to provide coordinated care, ensuring continuity and timeliness of services
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly, maintaining up-to-date records and communicating effectively with healthcare providers and patients
  • Educate patients and families on self-management strategies, promoting empowerment and healthy lifestyles
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or other relevant areas
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Nationally board certified, current
  • Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends required
