As a Concrete Specialist, you will be responsible for operating various troweling machinery and texturing tools to finish and shape concrete for a range of projects, including sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. A solid understanding of concrete properties and the impact of weather conditions on the curing process is essential. You will take direction from the foreman and crew leader to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Place, finish, and cure concrete for heavy civil construction projects
- Utilize troweling machinery and texturing tools effectively
- Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters
- Report any issues or safety hazards to the foreman or safety officer
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and state regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry preferred
- Willingness to travel to various job sites
- Ability to follow basic instructions in English
- Proficiency in using basic tools
- Fundamental understanding of construction principles and procedures
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience operating a manual transmission vehicle preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Heavy: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform repetitive lifting and lowering tasks.
Work Environment:
Moderate: May be exposed to extreme weather conditions and loud noise levels.
Compensation: Pay range is $26 - $32 per hour.
