About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our surveying team in Roseville, CA. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all surveying operations, including budgeting, scheduling, directing subordinates, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines, and communication with management staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Coordinate and prioritize workload within the survey department to ensure efficient utilization of staff to meet deadlines.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets.
  • Prepare proposals on projects with subsequent project management responsibilities.
  • Understand project scope and communicate it to support staff.
  • Monitor and maintain project budgets & productivity.
  • Develop standards and guidelines.
  • Prioritize improvements for the surveying department (long term and short term).
  • Participate in the selection, training, and development of new surveyors.
  • Provide training opportunities to ensure staff maintain current knowledge with regards to industry and company standards.
  • Oversee accurate, complete, and value-added work products and perform complex survey computations.
  • Ensure timely document delivery by completing assigned tasks on or ahead of schedule.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible Land Survey experience required.
  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management.
  • Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of California required.
  • Proven success managing projects.
  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in industry standard software and management tools.
  • Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements.
