Position Overview

Role Summary:

As a member of our expanding Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in developing tools and frameworks that enhance our DevOps practices. Your primary focus will be on evaluating our existing infrastructure and promoting an Infrastructure-as-Code approach. You will set the standards for building and deploying our platform, primarily utilizing Microsoft Azure. Collaborating with developers, you will address key infrastructure challenges to facilitate fully automated systems.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $120,000-$135,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus potential for annual bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the technical development of DevOps tools and address infrastructure challenges through code, emphasizing reusability.
  • Enhance our CI/CD framework; automate and oversee the software development lifecycle, including testing, builds, releases, and provisioning of development environments.
  • Optimize release processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in DevOps, supporting process improvement and integration initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship in DevOps methodologies to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a DevOps engineer role or a similar software engineering position.
  • Familiarity with .NET technologies, Azure Cloud, Azure Portal, and Azure DevOps, including tools such as App Insights, App Center, Service Fabric, and more.
  • Proficient in common DevOps tools (Git, YAML, PowerShell, NuGet, NPM, Docker, Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience in implementing automated deployments for various software packages including .NET/.NET Core, Java, NodeJS, Angular, React, C#, C++, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Datadog and Azure Log Analytics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a DevOps capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation and team notifications.
