GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Environmental Services (EVS) Utility Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of all carpets, flooring, seating, and portable tables.

Moreover, the Supervisor is tasked with maintaining cleanliness in elevated areas that are inaccessible to other EVS personnel.

In the absence of the manager, the Utility Supervisor will oversee the Utility team.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE COMMITMENT

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Perform cleaning and shampooing of all carpets.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Aid in the inventory of incoming supplies.
  • Maintain all flooring, carpets, and hard surfaces.
  • Ensure all seating is cleaned and reupholstered as necessary.
  • Assist in supervising the Utility Crew's responsibilities.
  • Help schedule daily tasks that require attention.
  • Clean and maintain high areas that are difficult for other EVS staff to access.
  • Clean all glass surfaces that are beyond the reach of other EVS personnel.
  • Vacuum areas that are inaccessible to other EVS staff.
  • Address all service calls promptly.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment as needed.
  • Participate in training initiatives.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITY:
This role includes supervisory duties related to Team Member interactions and corrective measures. The Team Member is responsible for safeguarding the assets of Infor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/

TRAINING:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; a minimum of two years of experience is necessary, with three years preferred for successful job performance.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

This position necessitates the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

Additionally, the ability to write routine reports and correspondence is essential.

Furthermore, effective verbal communication skills are required when addressing groups of guests or Team Members.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

The role requires proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as interpret bar graphs, is also necessary.



REASONING ABILITY:

This position demands the capacity to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Additionally, the ability to solve problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations is required.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a class "A" gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • At least one year of experience in carpet maintenance.
  • Familiarity with carpeting and hard surfaces; technical training is preferred.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to utilize and recognize most maintenance tools.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are necessary.
  • Capability to lift medium to heavy loads up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who is resourceful.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
  • A pleasant demeanor and professional appearance are required when interacting with guests.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks is essential.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
