Position Overview

The Senior Membership Sales Specialist acts as a key representative of UFC Gym, ensuring that the Membership Specialists deliver an exceptional, engaging, and informative experience for all potential members during their visits. This role involves indirect supervision of the Membership Specialists, working closely with the General Manager (GM) to achieve membership targets and sales objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Performance and Execution:
  • Drive membership sales by meeting lead generation, appointment setting, and guest engagement goals to achieve financial targets.
  • Support the GM in ongoing training initiatives to enhance conversion rates and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Motivate prospective members to join by understanding their fitness aspirations and presenting UFC Gym’s offerings effectively.
  • Ensure the membership team meets monthly sales goals, including new member acquisitions and coaching program enrollments.
Weekend Leadership and Management:
  • Contribute to the financial and operational planning for the gym, focusing on weekend strategies to enhance membership retention and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the GM and Membership Specialists to set ambitious yet achievable revenue and labor targets.
  • Monitor gym operations during weekends, ensuring a high-quality experience for both members and guests.
Guest and Team Member Experience:
  • Foster a welcoming and community-oriented gym culture that prioritizes member satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Actively seek member feedback to identify areas for improvement and coaching opportunities for team members.
  • Address member concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive resolution and maintaining high service standards.
Staff Development and Recruitment:
  • Assist in the recruitment process for Membership Specialists, including reviewing applications and conducting interviews.
  • Facilitate training sessions to equip the Membership Specialists with the skills needed to drive sales and enhance member engagement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to ensure individual and team success.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven experience in managing sales teams, budgeting, and revenue generation, preferably within the fitness industry.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills with a track record of achieving results.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of management experience in a sales environment is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or a related field is preferred.
