Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee program timelines and budgetary performance.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to achieve program objectives.
  • Provide technical direction and project management for design and development initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to established engineering processes and product specifications.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Engage in proposal and bidding processes.
  • Work independently, maintaining organization and efficiency.
  • Recognize, address, and escalate project challenges and risks to ensure successful project outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project or Program Manager with substantial cost and schedule oversight.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, guide teams, and provide technical expertise.
  • Experience in technical project management, including schedule and earned value management, risk assessment, and executive briefings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in the Defense or Aerospace sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing ruggedized avionics products.
  • Familiarity with avionics regulatory and certification standards such as TSO, MIL-STD, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting technical information to management and executives.
  • Advanced Project Management certification (PMP) is a plus.
