Position Overview

Summary

Fauquier Community Child Care, Inc. is in search of dedicated Assistant Managers for various locations. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Site Manager to realize their vision for the program within the facility. This position involves supervising children and ensuring their safety in collaboration with the Site Manager and Child Care Assistants.

The Assistant Manager may also be tasked with performing Site Manager duties or assisting with administrative responsibilities alongside the Site Manager.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a fun, safe, and secure environment for children on a daily basis.
  • Interact positively with children to foster a supportive atmosphere.
  • Manage snack orders and assist the Site Manager in maintaining accurate USDA records.
  • Supervise Child Care Assistants, guiding them in effectively managing the center and engaging with children.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents and school staff.
  • Support Site Managers with various administrative tasks.
  • Facilitate daily Arts and Crafts activities and games.
  • Assist children with homework as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer use, including basic knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and make decisions quickly.
  • Demonstrated patience and understanding.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills are essential.

All employees must successfully pass a background screening.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a licensed child care setting is advantageous.
