Position Overview

This role involves servicing the Birth to Three Program in Milwaukee County, with options for full-time employment with complete benefits or part-time without. We promote a flexible schedule and a hybrid work setting, allowing you to balance personal commitments while fulfilling your professional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, treatments, documentation, and follow-ups independently with patients, their families, and healthcare providers, while receiving guidance from supervisors and mentors.
  • Manage cases of simple to moderate complexity, which may involve collaboration with one or two external providers, and address mild behavioral or mental health concerns.
  • Supervise at least one graduate student annually (8-12 weeks) and two observation students as appropriate.
  • Educate and mentor individuals outside the physical therapy field, including explaining the role of physical therapy, advocating for its benefits, and instructing other healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver in-service training to local departments following participation in continuing education events.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.

Licensure:

  • Possession of a current physical therapy license in Wisconsin. For those working in the Birth to Three program, a valid Wisconsin driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.
