Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Structural Engineer specializing in transportation projects to join our dynamic team at SNC-Lavalin. This role involves engaging in a diverse range of structural engineering initiatives across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will:

  • Define project scope with full accountability for interpreting, organizing, and executing project assignments.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work within major projects or moderate scope projects.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering design and review the work of junior engineers and designers.
  • Prepare cost estimates, job budgets, and project schedules.
  • Oversee the preparation of final plans and reports for approval.
  • Coordinate with other engineering professionals and support services staff.
  • Conduct construction services planning and coordination for projects of moderate scope.
  • Assist in project management as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 4-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License is required; a Structural Engineer (SE) License is preferred.
  • Experience with Department of Transportation (DOT) projects is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
