MRI Technologist Job Summary

At Luminis Health, we are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex MRI procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process MRI scan sequences, verify demographics and technical information, and check the technical quality of images.
  2. Participate as a member of a specialized medical team in performing specialized MRI scans of various organs and in preparing patients for specific procedures.
  3. Constantly assess patients' condition and administer first aid as required; assist physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies.
  4. Confer with Supervisor to recommend changes, report problems, and provide feedback to improve patient care, technical quality, and clerical functions.
  5. Monitor equipment performance and report problems to the Manager; record malfunctions as required.

Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a one-year accredited program in MRI Technology or ARRT MRI certification.
  • Current State of Maryland licensure may be required.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
  • Current CE Requirements.

Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:
There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Physical Demands - Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
