Job Summary: We are in search of a qualified and compassionate Medical Director (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to become part of our distinguished Senior Behavioral Health Unit. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with our seasoned Medical Director to ensure outstanding care and support for elderly patients facing a variety of mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments and evaluations of geriatric patients presenting with behavioral health issues.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's specific needs and objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Deliver empathetic and patient-focused care to improve the overall mental health of elderly individuals in our facility.
  • Actively engage in case discussions, team meetings, and quality enhancement initiatives to foster a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Collaborate with the experienced Medical Director to uphold the highest standards of medical practice and compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to remain informed about the latest advancements in geriatric behavioral health.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry or Geriatric Psychiatry (if applicable) is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant state (or ability to obtain prior to starting).
  • Demonstrated experience in geriatric behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and patients' families.
  • Empathy and insight into the unique mental health challenges faced by the elderly population.
  • Strong dedication to patient advocacy and safety.
