Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our engineering and facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Carry out tasks that require physical effort, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts and materials as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of various systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
  • Driver's license required.
