POSITION OVERVIEW: The Food Service Attendant will be trained across various roles within the food service department, including Room Service Tray Preparation, Room Service Delivery, Dishroom Maintenance, and Cafeteria/Deli Assistance. This role involves performing diverse tasks to ensure smooth operations, including customer interaction, catering arrangements, cash management, and sanitation duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Prepares food items and beverages in accordance with safe food handling practices
  • Delivers meal trays to patient rooms promptly
  • Cleans dishes and kitchen utensils
  • Ensures cleanliness of workspaces
  • Restocks food supply areas as needed
  • Provides customer service with professionalism and care
  • Aligns with the organization's values and mission

EDUCATION:

  • Required: N/A
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

  • Required: Deschutes County Food Handlers Card
  • Preferred: OLCC Alcohol Service Permit

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: N/A
  • Preferred: Previous experience in food service and customer interaction
