Cashier Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Sales Associate Cashier to join our team at Food Lion. As a Sales Associate Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

• Customer Service: Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards.
• Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, handle cash, checks, coupons, gift cards, partner cards, food stamps, and WIC vouchers.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front end area and MVP savings center KIOSK.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other store associates to achieve sales and customer service goals.

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Technical Skills: Ability to perform the technical requirements of the job, including operating a cash register and using computers and other communication systems.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand 100% of the time, frequently walk short distances, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
