Academic eSports Supervisor

Job Summary:
Orangewood Christian School is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to fill the role of eSports Lab and Aftercare Supervisor. This position involves overseeing our eSports lab and aftercare program during afterschool hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, education, eSports, and creating a safe and productive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise students during aftercare and eSports practice sessions and matches.
• Provide coaching and strategic guidance for games including Smash Brothers, Minecraft, Valorant, and Rocket League.
• Ensure all gaming equipment, PCs, consoles, and network systems are functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
• Oversee the eSports lab environment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and conducive to focused practice and competition.
• Implement and enforce lab policies and procedures to ensure a respectful and productive atmosphere.
• Assist in planning and organizing eSports events, including intramural competitions and external tournaments.
• Coordinate with other schools and eSports organizations for matches and events.
• Manage event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and equipment transportation.
• Mentor students in developing their gaming skills, strategic thinking, and overall performance.
• Encourage academic balance and prioritize the development of life skills through gaming.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and welfare in the aftercare room.
• Maintain open communication with staff, parents, and administrators regarding lab activities, student progress.

Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in a related field. Orangewood Christian School
