We are seeking a Food Server to join our team at Friendship Village, a premier Life Plan Community located in St. Louis. As a Food Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care and serving the needs of our growing community of active-minded senior adults.

Responsibilities include setting tables, maintaining work stations, taking orders, providing service, and clearing dishes. You will also be responsible for answering questions about menu items, preparing therapeutic desserts and salads, and transporting food and non-food items as needed.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong positive attitude toward customer service, a genuine interest in geriatric care, and the ability to motivate and maintain relationships with staff and residents.

\tSets tables and maintains work stations in proper order.

\tTakes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.

\tClears dishes from tables during and after meal service.

\tAnswers pertinent questions about menu items.

\tPrepares therapeutic desserts and salads, as required.

\tTransports hot and cold foods to and from the Village Care Center, as needed.

\tTransports all required non-food items to and from the Village Care Center, main dining rooms, and other areas as needed.

\tMaintains sanitation, hygiene and safety standards.

\tAssists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.

\tAssists with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes if needed.

\tMaintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.

\tCompletes all assigned cleaning tasks.

\tMaintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary conditions.

\tAttends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

\tPerforms specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
